Dr. Christopher L. Haupert is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon with Iowa Retina Consultants. A native of Iowa City, Dr. Haupert earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa, completed his ophthalmology residency at Emory University, and went on to complete fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at Duke University.
Dr. Haupert has extensive experience in medical and surgical retina care and has held numerous leadership roles throughout his career, including service with the Iowa Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has published in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to ophthalmology education, and presented at regional and national clinical conferences.
He performs specialized retinal procedures and ophthalmic surgery and provides care for patients requiring advanced retina treatment.
