Dr. Thomas A. Simpson is a board-certified otolaryngologist with ENT Medical Services in Iowa City. He provides comprehensive ear, nose, and throat care for adults and children across Eastern Iowa and has long been a leader in the Iowa medical community.
Dr. Simpson earned his undergraduate degree with honors in psychology from the University of Iowa and later received his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. After completing a general surgery internship at Gundersen Clinic and Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin, he returned to the University of Iowa for residency training in head and neck surgery. He became board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology in 1996.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Simpson has held leadership roles with the Iowa Academy of Otolaryngology and the American Academy of Otolaryngology. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Medical Director of Iowa City Ambulatory Surgery Center from 2008 through 2023.
