IOWA CITY, Iowa, October 9, 2018 — Iowa City Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) is celebrating 10 years of serving Iowa City and the surrounding areas. Join us for an open house celebration on October 16 from 5-7 pm at 2963 Northgate Drive.

The Iowa City ASC is a multi-specialty, state-of-the-art surgical facility focused on providing quality outpatient surgical services including Orthopedic procedures and Opthalmology. The center was established in 2008 and currently performs approximately 7,000 surgical procedures per year. Our goal is to deliver exceptional care in a uniquely tailored experience, providing restoration to our patients and their lives.

Iowa City ASC is owned by Mercy Iowa City and a group of surgeon investors with more than 50 surgeons performing surgery at our facility. Over the years our surgeons have been recognized for exemplary service to the community and performing cutting edge surgeries like Inspire Therapy – Iowa City ASC was the first facility in Iowa to perform this new and cutting-edge procedure.

We employ 67 individuals from Iowa City and surrounding communities. In 2017, we were recognized as one of the Coolest Places to Work by Corridor Business Journal. Our nurses have been repeatedly recognized, by both their patients and numerous accreditation sources, for their outstanding work. Most recently our nursing staff was awarded the 2018 CNOR® Strong Designation for a facility-wide commitment to nursing excellence and outstanding patient care.
